A Little History of Premier Products

Premier’s history began back in 1964 as a small manufacturer of doors and frames known then as Dittco Products.  In 1969, it was sold to a group of individuals that had more industry related knowledge and that’s really where the journey began.

This group successfully grew the business and then sold it in 1974 to Houston-based National Steel Poducts Company. In 1982, partly due to economics, National Steel sold it back to the employees who had formed an ESOP.  The ESOP held together through 1986 when a Holding Company took over ownership.  Three and a half years later, Premier Products, Inc. was formed. After procurring Dittco’s fixed assets, establishing a new group of investors, and with the dedication from former Dittco employees, Premier officially opened in January of 1990.

Premier, now celebrating 22 years, has enjoyed years of growth and profitability.  We now have three locations, the 164,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility in Monroe, Louisiana as well as large distribution centers in Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA.  

Premier strategically serves two primary markets, the OEM or metal building industry, and contract sales distributors of building materials.

We still do business today utilizing a relatively simple concept.  We try to earn our customers’ business and support every single day-on every single order.
